  Friends of Kurth Kiln

Kurth Kiln is a historic site within Kurth Kiln Regional Park. As the only remaining complete example of Professor E E Kurth’s wartime efforts to provide an alternate fuel for the motor industry it is recommended for heritage listing and included in the Shire of Cardinia Heritage Overlay.

The Friends of Kurth Kiln are actively involved in the site’s preservation and in promoting greater public awareness of its unique importance to the history of the area.

To this end we give talks and guided tours to visiting groups and School Children

Coming Up

MAKE A NOTE: The Friends of Kurth Kiln would like to invite all our members and friends to a joint Christmas Break-Up meeting on Saturday December 13 at Kurth Kiln. It is our turn to organise the event this year, together with the Friends of Bunyip and Gembrook Fauna & Flora groups. There will be a Sausage Sizzle around noon with Coffee and Cake, and some of us intend to go for walks along the Thornton and Tomahawk tracks afterwards.

We look forward to see you and your families there.
