Seed collection and storage

Seed collections carried out across the Central region of Westernport Catchment. Seed is stored in a secure, dry seed bank with refrigeration as required. Collection in other areas can be undertaken upon request to meet specific project site requirements.

Indigenous plants supply

Tubestock or hyco plants ordered, and supplied through the CEC nursery, or a relevant locally indigenous nursery. The CEC nursery follows industry standards ensuring high success rates following planting.

Weed control solutions

Manual and chemical control methods applied to bushland reserves and revegetated areas, including:

• Site sensitive herbicide application
• Broad-scale rig weed spraying
• Felling of small trees and chipping services
• Monitoring and maintenance works

Ecological consulting

Utilising in-house and external, experienced professionals, consulting services include:

• Site assessment
• Land Management Plans
• Pest plant and animal control management plans
• Flora and Fauna assessments
• Weed and plant identification
• Habitat Hectare assessments for Net Gain offsets
• Offset management plans

Biodiversity protection

Through in-house expertise, and working with other professionals, all forms of biodiversity protection services can be offered, these include:

• Boundary fence or habitat protection installations
• Ecological prescribed burn management
• Nest Box installation
• Fauna monitoring and data recording
